I pedaled home from the garden with a basket overflowing with greens. Turnip. Collards. Mustard. Enough to pack two pillow cases tightly (just for visualization–I bungee netted the basketed greens onto the front rack of my ANT Light Roadster).
I cooked them up with onions, garlic, ginger, celery, carrots, mushrooms, red pepper, tamari, miso, sriracha and sake. They cooked down into three quarters of a gallon and maybe a quart of pot liquor (not sure that’s the right use of the term, but it sounds good). That’s a mess o’ greens!
Hope you are holding up under the heat. Portland looks pretty nice just now!
